No Lee No Problem! Rain or Shine 3 - 1

It seems Coach Yeng's statement was dead on when Paul Lee got injuired (check here) he said it himself! WE COULD WIN THIS GAME WITH OR WITHOUT PAUL LEE. And WIN THEY DID!

2 - 1
During the 3rd game Jireh Ibanes and Jeff Chan took turns in burning BMEG. Rain Or Shine stuck to their game plan and it paid dividends. Winning 93 - 84. This is the game that saw BMEG's 3 best players (James "Big Shot"Yap, "The Apostle" Peter Jun Simon and Mark "Pinoy Sakuragi" Pingris)  sit down during stretches of the game for them to "steal" some rest as per their head coach Tim Cone.

Finally Norwood has a good game!
They thought that resting them will give them an advantage during the 4th game. During the 1st quarter through the 3rd quarter it almost did. But Mr. Consistency Jamelle Cornley, Ryan Buenafe and Gabe Norwood made sure that they wouldn't be left out of the picture and be blown out by BMEG. Even if Jeff Chan had a so-so game (7 points) Norwood and Ryan Buenafe stepped up their offensive games to cancel out Jeff Chan's poor shooting. Jireh Ibanes was his usual defensive self, so was Ryan Arana who got into Mark "Pinoy Sakuragi" Pingris' skin, who gave Arana a headbutt and a face shove which earned him a Flagrant Foul Penalty 1. To which Yeng Guiao was frsutrated and said that it should have been a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 (article here). The PBA Commentator Coach Ryan Gregorio noted that Pingris was obviously in pain from the hit that Arana gave him, but he was quick to add that Pingris was already favoring his nape previously. So it could have been a previous injury which this blogger prays that the injury is nothing serious.

Ty Tang was making his favorite move bring down the ball and when no one is expecting he goes for a pull up jumper.Quinahan and Belga were their usual selves down low. Also it is good to note that it was Beau Belga was the one who stopped Coach Yeng from entering the playing court therefore saving their fiery mentor from being ejected and fined by the league.

Their collective efforts paid off therefore giving them the  94 - 89 victory against BMEG. One win away from giving the Elastopainters Young Franchise their First ever PBA Championship. With BMEG's back against the wall expect a tougher game 5 and expect Coach Time Cone to draw up a new way to counter ROSE.

All I can say is 3 - 1! WIN or GO HOME

  1. Even though Paul Lee didn't play to his team Rain or Shine, they still won on the Governors Cup this year. This shows that, they really want to win where you can see their dedication.

  2. Yes! It just shows that Rain Or Shine was for real. Not just a one man team.

Rain Or Shine was really a deep team composed of role players and over achievers.
